I ordered the special last week of cookbooks and got a confirmation email. It wasn't until today, when I check the status of my order on their site, that I found out it is out of stock. No email or phone call notification?? They should not put a deal out there for people unless they are prepared to fill it or at the least cut the deal off when they are out of stock!
Update to my above review... I have waited for a month and a half for American Express to get a response from Taste of Home with instructions on how to return the books. Finally AMEX gave up and issued me a final credit. Guess what? Within a couple of days, a rep from Taste of Home was calling me at work looking for their books!!! She did not understand why I did not just write refused on the package and give it back to the USPS. The post offices here will not accept refused packages unless there is a notation that return postage is guaranteed... apparently they lose alot of money otherwise. So, TOH is requesting a FedEx pick up for tomorrow to get this package out of my office. I conveyed my poor experience to her, but I have no doubt that was a waste of my time and will make no difference. Definately will not do business with this company again.
