It’s a question for the ages: Can women really have it all?
We suppose it depends who you ask. Celebrity Baby Scoop asked star moms their thoughts on the topic recently, and we tend to agree with Katie Couric, who told the site it is possible, when you have a village of nannies and others to help out.
Lisa Ling tells the site having it all just isn’t realistic.
“I think women make so many sacrifices, much more than men do,” she tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. “It’s OK to not have it all, it’s OK to ask for help, and it’s OK to say, ‘I need to talk to someone and I need to confide in other people about things.’ I think the idea of women having it all is nice to imagine, but I don’t think it is really possible.”
And actress Lauren Holly, a mom of three, says it really depends on the day.
“Some weeks I’m doing it, some weeks I’m flailing,” she tells the website.
Tia Mowry-Hardrict, of Tia & Tamera, however, she does have it all.
“I think that it’s all about trying to prioritize, and that’s the hardest part about finding the balance,” the actress tells Celebrity Baby Scoop. “… I personally believe we can have it all, it’s about trying to find the balance and prioritizing.”
Her twin, Tamera Mowry-Housley, agrees, but says sacrifices come with the territory.
“If you want to be a mom, wife and businesswoman, you have to accept that you’re not going to be able to be there all the time with your son,” she tells the website. “What you can do is really make time on the weekend. There is always going to be that push for balance.”
