How to uninstall the toolbar

The toolbar is a browser app created to help you score the biggest savings possible — and even receive some Cash Back — while you’re shopping. We consider it our online savings fairy, because it alerts us to deals so we won’t forget about stuff like coupons, promo codes and free shipping that’s available from participating retailers (and, trust us, we will forget).

But if the toolbar isn’t for you, no worries. It’s actually easy to uninstall. And, Stephanie Henninger, who works daily with the toolbar at, says you have a couple different options when it comes to removal.

“If you just want to hide the toolbar from your browser, but keep your Cash Back, you can do that,” she says. “If that’s what you’re looking for, an automatic prompt during the uninstall will ask you if you want to continue with Cash Back or continue without Cash Back. If you want to keep accumulating money, the first option will turn off certain functions, but hide the visual. If you really want to remove it, check the continue without Cash Back box.”

The actual uninstall instructions vary depending on your web browser. If you prefer to remove the toolbar, click here, just follow the steps and — poof! — it’ll disappear. Having trouble? We’re happy to help. Just contact us here with any questions.
