Black Friday might just be the most inclusive shopping day of the year. Unlike Valentine’s Day, which caters to couples, there’s something for everyone on Black Friday. Whether you’re shopping for kids or your significant other, there will be plenty of toys worth picking up this holiday season no matter who is at the top of your shopping list.
Toys R Us released its “2012 Holiday Hot Toy List” and it is a smorgasbord of things that will make your kids, nieces or nephews squeal with delight. The most intriguing thing on the list might be the Tabeo tablet, a 7-inch tablet designed specifically for the kid that you don’t quite trust with his own iPad. The Tabeo is pre-loaded with with 50 kid-friendly apps, Wi-Fi support and the Tabeo App Store has 7,000 additional apps to download. Tabeo uses an Android operating system and as far as memory is concerned, the device has a MicroSD slot that accepts memory cards of up to 32GB in size.
Of course, not every parent wants their young kid to have a tablet. If you’re still into preserving the innocence of the kids in your family, there is always the Disney Store where you can dress your kid up in numerous Disney costumes like Belle from Beauty and the Beast or Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. Collectors can even find something of value at the Disney Store thanks to their selection of collectible 16-inch action figures.
Gamestop is a good spot for gamers looking for deals on Black Friday. While the price of new games doesn’t change much for the shopping holiday, Gamestop usually offers extra trade-in credit for games you don’t want anymore and the occasional “buy two get one free” sale on used games. So if the people you are shopping for don’t mind getting something that has some light wear and tear, they may find themselves with some extra gifts this holiday season.
And let’s not forget about the grown-ups. Their toys might be a little flashier and expensive but they deserve gifts this holiday season, too! Amazon is a sure bet for deals on all sorts of things during Black Friday, but if you’re in the market for a TV, there’s no better place to go. Well, you could stand outside at the crack of dawn at a big box store, but that sounds pretty horrible when you stop and think about it. Stay in your pajamas and order something online instead.
