Sure, Paris in the spring is lovely, but so is being able to pay your mortgage.

If this year’s spring break is going to be a stay-cation rather than a vacation, why not wear your favorite travel destination?

Landscape prints are big for spring, with designers offering tropical looks (DKNY, Alice + Olivia, Nanette Lepore), beach scenes (Dries van Noten, Stella McCartney), mountain vistas (Carven) and Asian arrays (Matthew Williamson).

Here are five prints to take you away without having to wait through any pesky airline security lines:

New York City. Big Apple calling? This cityscape trapeze dress, $150, from Muse will have you, as Alicia Keys would say, feeling brand new.

Paris. A sweet frock covered in a pretty street map of the City of Light? Oui, oui! Carven‘s dress, $650 at, sizzles whether you’re in Paris, France or Paris, Texas.

Miami. If you can’t warm your shoulders in the heat of the Florida sun, toss on this Wearhouse blouse beach-print blouse, $41.54 at Asos, and imagine yourself there. Plus, no sunburns.

Santa Fe. If the desert is calling, reach for this pretty dress from Plenty by Tracy Reese, $278 at, featuring a scenic mesa vista. Who’s in for margaritas at happy hour?

Aspen. Would you rather be skiing, but jetting off to your chalet is just a snowy dream? Forever 21‘s mountain-print T-shirt will at least allow you to schuss in your head.
