Dress ‘em up before they can protest.

And anyway, what’s cuter than a tiny little wee baby hotdog or bite-sized sunflower baby?

Nothing, that’s what.

Halloween costumes for infants take the cake (and the Snickers, and the Skittles) for adorableness this time of year. Here are some inexpensive, cute and comfortable (key word right there) costume trends for infants and babies.

Furry monster slippers or alien soft-soled shoes. Robeez is known for making pretty much the best shoes for new (or attempting) walkers, because they’re soft-soled and don’t restrict the tootsies. Plus, they’re so high quality they last for eternity.

We were thrilled to learn Robeez has some funky Halloween designs, from pirates to aliens to monsters. Because trying to cram floppy, fat baby feet into hard-soled Mary Janes is a trick most moms cannot master, not even for Halloween.

The Children’s Place recently released a list of some popular Halloween trends for kids. On its list:

  • “Talker” bodysuits for infants, featuring Halloween pictures or phrases. These are comfortable, inexpensive and can be mixed and matched with different accessories (which you can remove if your lil’ pumpkin gets too fussy). Best of all: This pumpkin bodysuit is only $6.
  • Glow-in-the-dark skeleton clothes, pajamas and onesies. The reflective accents are an added safety feature, too. You know, in case your wee monster tries to take off alone down the sidewalk while trick-or-treating. Not that anyone’s angel has ever done that. Oh, no. This glow-in-the-dark stretchie costs only $8.
  • Who knew a robot costume could be so cute and so comfortable? Your kid might not even want to rip this off his body. (No promises, though.) Plus, this robot hood will keep your kiddo warm during the candy collection process.
