Yanzel Zoe of The Caribbean FlowerAt only 19, Yanzel Zoe has already created The Caribbean Flower, a beauty blog where she reviews the latest products and gives her two cents on what’s hot. Since she studies International Business, this girl has a great head on her shoulders and fabulous lashes to match. Meet Yanzel …

Where I’m based: Puerto Rico

How long I’ve been blogging: I’ve had a blog since 2010 but I’ve been blogging on blogger since April of this year. I’m kind of a blogger newbie.

Blog in a nutshell: My blog is basically student tips, makeup reviews, fashion reviews of collections and the odd lifestyle post thrown in from time-to-time.

What do you enjoy most about blogging? Definitely getting to meet new people from all over the world who have the same interests as me and enjoy blogging as much as I do.

Other blogs I love: Vivianna Does Makeup, Tanya Burr’s, A Beautiful Mess, The Blonde Salad, Song of Style, Sprinkle of Glitter, The Feminine Crusade and The Beauty Department are some of my top favorites.

Guilty pleasure: Mascara, frozen yogurt and shoes!

Last thing I bought: Boldy Bare lip pencil by M.A.C.

Fav stores: Zara, Forever 21, H&M, Topshop and T.J. Maxx for when I’m on a budget or I’m looking for a nice bag.

Dream job: Jane Keltner De Valle’s position at Teen Vogue.

What beauty product do you use the most? Mascara — makes such a huge difference on your face.

What is one thing in your closet that you will never get rid of? My jean jacket and white converse. Classics!

What’s your idea of an ideal Friday night? Movie night with lots of snacks and the company of my best gals.

Are you really a synchronized swimmer? I am! I’ve been swimming since I was nine years old. When I was 12-years old I discovered synchronized swimming and fell in love with it. Thanks to it, I’ve been to Barcelona and North Carolina to participate in different competitions. I’ve learned what the true meaning of team work is, and how to collaborate with twelve girls of different ages. I would say I’m a bit retired at the moment, though. I stopped for my senior year of high school, so I could get back on track in school and college. I miss it a lot sometimes, but I’m happy where I am in my life right now. I do still go to pools sometimes and practice to make sure I don’t lose too much flexibility and skill.
