Basic Breast Health Tips
- Know your family history.
- Talk to your doctor about your personal risk of breast cancer.
- If you are at a higher risk, talk to your doctor about which screening tests are
right for you.
- Get a yearly mammogram after age 40 if you are at average risk.
- Get clinical breast exams at least every 3 years starting at 20, and every year
after age 40.
- Know your breasts! Know how they look and feel and report any changes to your health
care provider right away.
- Make healthy lifestyle choices that may reduce your risk of
breast cancer.
